Excerpt
from her catalog
Aysegül
Eren`s clay plastics take into consideration
the oldest problem of 3D art: the
relationship of body and space. The
real attractiveness of these plain
and distinguished forms lies in the
tension created between shapes that
are freely transformed geometric constructions.
The uncommon size of objects and a
distinguished property, repetition,
form an attractive contrast against
the character that is carried in the
material. Some works can be considered
as parts of a whole and individual
elements show little differences in
terms of size, form and direction. |
